Our club was founded in July 1989. We have approximately 70 members in the German Society of the Coastal Bend and we have 30 Choir members.
We joined the Texanischer Gebirgs Saengerbund in 1995. (Hill Country bund around San Antonio) In 2004 we joined the Deutsch-Texanischer Saengerbund in 2004, State of Texas bund.
Our choir has sung all over the southern part of Texas for many functions. We have sung for Fasching parties, Octoberfests, Chrismas, and Multi-cultural festivals.
We usually partake in an average of 7 to 10 functions a year. Since our club is small, we pay for our own transportation to and from, lodging and meals.
Most of us have authentic German costumes and many of our members are first generation Germans.
